About Kemet Rah
In 2005, Kemet Rah was founded with the purpose of assisting elderly family members and providing a financial base and a system for creating wealth specific to people of black African descent who are active participants of Bantu Jangee.
Our name is derivative of the words used by ancient Egyptians along the Nile Valley. We used, Kemet which means "the Black Land" and Rah (Ra or RE) which means "Creator" to conceptualize the harmonious and holistic approach to life in which we strive to preserve and uphold. We chose to incorporate the "H" in Ra to Rah to signify hotep, harmony, and holistic.
Our goals:
Create a wealth reservoir via investments and member contributions
To provide financial education to members and beneficiaries
To maintain guidance for Bantu Jangee via a council of elders and input from financial experts
Maintain an African centered focus in all business affairs
Our logo displays symbols of ancient Kemetic (Egyptian) history.
The Ankh - ancient kemetic (Egyptian) symbol for life. It represents the giving of life and the vital life energy; creation of life
The Laws of Maat and the scale- represents truth, justice, harmony, reciprocity, balance, order and propriety; the scale with the heart being weighed against the feather is to convey that one should live their life so that ones heart is as light as a feather.
Pyramid—stands for knowledge and spiritual growth
Kemet Rah are active members of Heirs United Investment Club, the Small Business Development Center (University of Houston) and proud supporter of the Deovelente Heritage Preservation Society who founded the first black owned and operated museum/cultural center in Belzoni, MS.
We encourage and welcome all family members to join us in our efforts toward continued growth
